Specific Giving Opportunities at Andrews Chapel UMC

We appreciate every person who is a part of our community at Andrews Chapel. Your service and giving allow us to be an active part of building God’s kingdom and serving God’s people. Your weekly offerings allow us to maintain the property, pay salaries for the pastor, for child care, and for our administrative assistant. Your giving allows us to pay our regularly occurring bills so that we have a place to meet that is lit, warm/cool, and insured. However, we have also have opportunities for going beyond your regular giving for special opportunities.

The Building Fund

As our community grows, we anticipate that we will require some renovations to accommodate the growth. If you want to help us to plan and pay for property renovations and possible purchase, you may give to this fund. Make checks payable to “Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church” with a memo “Building Fund.”

The Summer Camp Fund

We are blessed to have Camp Chestnut Ridge, one of the Conference’s three camps nearby in Efland. Our goal is to pay the summer camp fees for any child who is eligible and wants to attend summer camp, whether overnight or as a day camper. If you wish to make a donation, please make your checks out to “Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church” with a memo “Summer Camp Fund.” For more information, please contact Patty Craig.

General Assistance Fund

Periodically, the church gets calls from people often seeking rental or utility help. The church is not comfortable giving to individuals who we have no way of vetting. However, in an attempt to help a person who calls in need, we would like to keep a couple of Walmart cards in the office as a way to be of some help to these callers. Reverend Kathy Pierce does not want anyone to buy them and leave them in the office. Instead she would like to keep a list of people who would be willing to replenish the supply of cards as needed. If you wish to be on this list, please email her.
